Arthur Steve Kontalis

Our principal is Arthur Steve Kontalis who for over 40 years has worked extensively in the law in regions as diverse as Sydney, Taree, Parkes and Gold Coast. He has in that time accumulated a substantial amount of knowledge skill and expertise in a variety of areas and which combine to provide him with the skills to conduct various types of mediations.

Mediation

Arthur has been trained and has been accredited as a Mediator under the auspicious of the DRB Department of Justice and Attorney-General (Queensland). This has been done so in accordance with the requirements of the Mediator Standards Board (MSB).

 

He is thus fully qualified and has the expertise to conduct mediations anywhere in Australia, though in practice, limits himself to approximately 2 hours from his Gold Coast base.

He is a member of the Australian Mediation Association (AMA).

 

Legal Costing  

Arthur continues to conduct his legal costing practice which was established in 1991 as part of his law practice in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. After a short period, legal costing became the predominate work and later exclusively so. It then followed on to become a para-legal service and incorporated as the legal costing company it is today.

Since that time he has costed in excess of 1,000 files.

A Solicitor of the Supreme Court

Arthur was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of

New South Wales in 1983 and practised as a litigation Solicitor for over 12 years. As a Solicitor, Arthur worked extensively in personal injury, workers compensation, motor vehicle, family law, criminal law, property and deceased estates. As a Solicitor he would have been instructed by over 500 clients.

 

He is currently on the Roll of Lawyers in NSW and is a former Solicitor of both Supreme Courts of NSW and Queensland. He is also formerly a member of the Law Society of NSW and the Queensland Law Society.
